Hot and Cold Numbers Simulation

Another way to pick numbers is to choose the hottest (most recently played) or coldest (least recently played) numbers. Like choosing most or least played numbers, the hottest or coldest numbers are another common way to try and anticipate what numbers are most likely to come up in the nexy draw. This simulation allows us to test both approaches.

A few things to note: The simulation assumes that you buy a single ticket, using the 6 (Lotto 649) or 7 (Lotto Max) latest least/most recently played numbers for each and every draw. If the ticket wins a free ticket, the free ticket is generated using a random number generator and is also played with the next draw.

If you are running the simulation using Lotto Max, a single set of numbers from the most played numbers will include two additional quick pick lines. You pick one set of numbers, but the other two sets will be chosen for you by a random number generator. In essence, a single ticket includes three sets of numbers.

Other things to note: You can run this simulation for both Lotto Max or Lotto 649. Since we use real historical data to test the hot/cold played scenarios, you will see how the strategies worked in the past with real lottery data. And finally, we recently added the ability to use All, Last 50 Draws, and Last 100 draws from the historical data. Last 50 Draws using on the historical data from the last 50 draws to generate the hot or cold numbers. The last 100 Draws only uses last 100 draws and All draws starts with a base of 50 draws and the each draw, the new draw data is added to the totals. So play with the simulation options to see how this strategy works for you.

One caveat to consider. Bonus Lines and quick picks are generator using random number generators to closely mirror the behaviour of the live draws.
